Our Mission
The mission of the RAST Foundation is to mobilize the community and global resources to support and impact
public education through initiatives, programs, and promising practices designed to improve student performance
and advance quality educational opportunities for all children.
Vision
The vision of RAST is to eradicate illiteracy and bring the age of reasoning to developing countries, especially
Pakistan. RAST management believes education should be an empowering process that guides children to develop
their passion for learning, critical thinking, compassion, and orientation toward wisdom for the betterment of
humanity.
All children and young people should have equal opportunities to benefit from an appropriate education
regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, culture, age, social background or
special educational needs.
Our Objectives
- To raise the quality and professionalism of teachers/ trainers across Pakistan
- To deliver consistently excellent outcomes for learners and teachers
- To support Schools and training providers in achieving their own improvement objectives
- To promote this vibrant sector among decision-makers and raise awareness of its vital role in the
development of the country
- To assist schools in adopting the latest knowledge and technique to promote quality education
- To engage parents to meet their social responsibilities for developing a quality education system
- To engage with administration and teachers in a structured and purposeful way to improve the standard of
teaching
- To engage in efficient and effective intra-school partnerships in the community's best interest
- To establish effective working relationships with appropriate external bodies – statutory, voluntary, and
community in the best interests of children and young people
- To help educational institutions to transform from a state of need into a state of abundance
- To provide the poor and needy women with sound education emphasizing rights and duties
- Providing literature, syllabi, teaching aid, and virtual libraries to the schools and the general public
